1981-82 Fr. Mike Hilldebrand and Fr. Carlton Beever served the parish.

1981 The school was closed due to low enrollment.

1982 Fr. Harry Tully was assigned as pastor.

1989 Fr. David Coons became pastor.

1991 Fr. David Hutt, O.F.M. Conv. became the first Conventual Franciscan to be pastor at St. Joseph Hill.

In 1990 the parish offices were moved from the rectory and school building to their current location in the convent.

1989 The Benedictine Sisters were called back to the Motherhouse, resulting in the first time since 1909 that the parish did not have sisters in residence.

1994 Fr. Richard Kaley, O.F.M. Conv. was named pastor.

1991 The United States enters the Persian Gulf War.

1996 The current Altar of Sacrifice was dedicated, built by Maurice Popp and sons and donated by the Schubnell family.

1998 St. Paul and St. Joseph Hill entered into a joint venture for the school which continues today.  This includes sharing construction and maintenance costs, student assessments, and “in parish” tuition for both parishes.

2000 Fr. John Raphael (JR) Hadnagy, O.F.M. Conv. became pastor.

Fr. John W. Curran, O.F.M. Conv. Is named pastor at St. Joseph Hill.

2002 The United States enters into war with terrorists in Afghanistan, then Iraq.

2006 The current St. Joseph Hill church building has its 125th anniversary.
