Fr. Poelhuis became pastor in July. He renovated the rectory and added the front porch. Vestibules were added to the front and sides of church. |

Rev. Cyprian Terwood, O.M.C. was assigned pastor for one month in 1932. |

1935 The DC-3 prop plane began commercial service. |

Fr. Pierre A. Brisse became pastor. 117 students were enrolled in the two room school, and many others did not come due to the depression.
Another room was added to the school in the Summer of 1933, and enrollment climbed to 145. |

Shortly thereafter yet another school room was added to the Northeast corner. |
|
St. Joseph Hill became only the 2nd parish in Indiana to have a novena in honor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. |
|
The novena was attended by 300-400 people each Tuesday evening. |
